Walkin' Man

Louison doesn’t crawl at all anymore. He walks, or I should say runs usually, from one disaster scene to the next. He’s learned how to push himself up into a standing position on his own. He can bend down to grab his toys/ the tails of our now neurotic cats, and push himself back up. He still falls frequently, in his haste, but no matter. Back up he goes. He’s training for the Boston marathon. We stand at various intervals around our house the race track, cheering him on, our arms outstretched with paper cups of water to sustain him. He speeds by.

The situation being thus, we bought him his first pair of real shoes. From Wal-Mart, no less, but shopping options are limited. The first try was rather hilarious, he walked as if his feet were rubber cemented to the floor AND each shoe weighed 10 pounds. But now he’s got the hang of it. Gets around fine, with a clomp clomp clomp across the hardwood.

The walkin’ man walks.

Just wait until he gives you a good kik in the shins with those clod-hoppers - you'll wish you'd gone with the slippers! Although he looks too angelic to ever do soemthing like that.

Oooh, forgive the spelling on the last post. I broke my arm and am typing left-handed.

There's nothing like a good pair of shoes to make a guy jump higher, run faster, and smash ever toe within 5 feet. Winter boots are the worst for cold bare feet ouch! Cute shoes Lou.

Love,
Mom aka grandma
