Has it really been two weeks since I’ve sent my sleep deprived musings out into cyberspace? I’m sure you’ve all been gripping the edges of your seats, white-knuckled, wondering “what drama is unfolding in the Savarese household? What crisis could keep our heroine away from her mindless internet pass times?” And I can only answer you, time flies when you’re having so much fun.
If by “fun”, you mean nursing your poor, weak, suffering husband back to health, that is. Yes, Cedric had his wisdom teeth removed last Tuesday. The healing process has been, well, involved. I will spare you the graphic details. But I will say this - this whole ordeal has affirmed in my mind that women are the stronger sex. Back when I had my wisdom teeth pulled, the procedure involved about 12 shots of whiskey and a pair of rusty pliers. Then you got up the next morning and went about your business, occasionally taking a moment to discretely sop up the blood trickling down your chin. Cedric had full anesthesia and enough narcotic pain-killers post surgery that he should have been floating on a permenant happy cloud. But such was not the case, I am sorry to report. I hope it will not make you think less of him.
But Cedric has recovered, and our lives are returning to normal. Today, we took a much (much!) needed trip out of the land of Wal-Mart and big ol’ trucks. We went to Indianapolis, where we took the baby to the children’s museum, which he loved (a play room for babies - pre-school age makes it well worth the admission fee). I also discovered that Indianapolis now has an H&M clothing store, which I love. The combination has made Indianapolis just a little less lame in these eyes.

...and I thought I was showing 'force de caractere' by giving up pain killers after 24h

Poor Cedric, I'm glad to see that he survived. Sounds like you had a nice trip to the City. Yes, men are the weaker sex...Sorry that you are out numbered in your house.
Love,
Mom
