Secretly, most every mother believes her child to be a genius. Especially the first child. Moms are wowed by every new milestone reached. They believe the most mundane accomplishments to be signs of superior intellect : rolling over, sitting up, crawling, walking. Sometimes, it can be tiring, listening to them prattle on and on about their child’s accomplishments, don’t you think?
You’ll be glad to know, I am not one of those moms. I have no intentions of boring you, reader, with such monotonous tales of normal baby development. That’s because, while many moms may secretly think their child to be a genius, my child really is a genius. And I see no reason to be secretive about it. Just look how advanced he is:
- In a show of superior critical thinking skills, he’s invented his own game. The rules involve him dropping an object, and the other player catching it before it hits the ground. If player 2 catches the object, Loulou erupts in gales of belly laughter. We are currently negotiating with Parker Bros. to market the game.
- He’s currently conducting a scientific study of gravitational effects on the human voice. He has learned that when we bounce him on our hips, his voice will make an ah-uh-ah-uh-ah-uh sound. Look for conclusions in the next May issue of Physicists in Diapers.
- In preparation for his early entry to medical school, and his subsequent specialization as an otorhinolaryngologist, Loulou spends a great deal of time investigating his parents’ (and his own) bodily orifices. He spends many an hour trying to enlarge our nostrils and pull out our tongues. We suffer it in the name of medicine.
- The boy is also showing early gifts in music. Each evening he practices piano under the gentle direction of his father. He has already produced his first composition, which he has titled Da-Da Duh Thbbbbbt! (in A Major). When he makes his debut in January, the music world will be shocked. To say the least.

Oh I am so blessed to be the grandmother of such a child prodigy. I am so excited to know that I have been a part of the early years, before the days when he will have to hide from the media. I was there for the science experiment/taste test of mixing yogurt and rubber giraffe.....what a wonderful delicacy. Cherish the special moments they go by so quickly.
Love,
Mom

Moi aussi, je suis très fière d'être l'autre grand mère de ce petit génie, je pense qu'il a aussi hérité de mes gènes, son père était aussi très intelligent à son âge.Bon sang ne saurait mentir !
