I didn’t know if I really wanted to celebrate this year - I figured the baby was still a bit young to appreciate it. But then I considered what great photo op it was, and we went out last minute and purchased the obligatory Halloween paraphernalia. It turned out to be a good idea after all – fun for all of us, mostly.
Loulou didn’t like his costume. For whatever reason, the puffiness in the front bothered him, and kept arching his back in an attempt to get away from it. As I carried him around, he was leaning over backward, limp, as if the orange suit was sucking the life out of him. He can be melodramatic.
Being the evil parents we are, we made him use his cuteness to charm candy out of the neighbors. Then we took it all for ourselves….
Okay, jeez, I gave him a few licks of a lollipop. But I did eat the rest. Like taking candy from a baby, as they say…
