The Continuing Sleep Saga

If I haven’t posted in 5 days, it’s because I’ve been too tired to do anything in my free time but stare blankly at the TV. Without sleep, the words don’t flow easily. Because Baby hasn’t slept right since we came back. He didn’t sleep right in France either. That makes a month since he’s slept for more than, say, 3 hours. Considering flying across 7 time zones with a baby? Think really hard about how important sleep is to your functioning.

If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that once you progress in an area, it’s near impossible to go backward. Not that it won’t happen, but it’s torture Going from sleeping at least 4 hours to sleeping 3 on a good night is killing us.

We agree, it’s time for Baby to get out of our bed. He sleeps better when we aren’t with him. His best sleep occurs in the hours before we go to bed, when he is alone in the bedroom. I am surprisingly decided on the issue. However, when you aren’t sleeping already, it’s so hard to work up the motivation to change anything.

Grrrr...Tomorrow, I’m going to start tomorrow. I’m posting it on the web, so I have to follow through. I will stop being too lazy to put him in his crib. It will be harder for a few days, but we’ll see if there is progress within 10 days. If not, we’re going to need a King size bed.

Ou bien vous passez tout de suite au lit king-size…
En tout cas, bon courage, et j'ai hâte de savoir la suite !

Just remember how well-adjusted baby will be from all the attachment parenting. My baby may sleep, but I promise you he'll be in therapy before he's out of diapers (he probably won't feel secure enough to potty train, after all).

Well, atleast he won't be in your bed until he's 18!
