Harvesting
Lou was excited about the pumpkin picking this year. He was determined to find the biggest pumpkin in the patch (what makes them all want the biggest?). We did find a very big one; one much too large for him to carry on his own. We carved it tonight, complete with devil horns and fangs, per Lou’s instructions. After that, I toasted the over sized seeds with olive oil and salt and pepper. They’re a real treat – better than potato chips.
